The five-day event from Oct. 8-12 will honor America’s river culture with live music, cuisine, and thematic river cruises along the Ohio River. Another million or so are expected for this event. An exceptional cast of community leaders and sponsors have assembled to host a signature event that celebrates Ohio River Valley’s pivotal role in shaping our nation in advance of its upcoming 250th birthday in 2026. The event has been designated by the America 250-Ohio Commission with a request to the national commission for America’s River Roots to be the official kick off signature event in October 2025. OneNKY Alliance member companies are sponsoring OneNKY Zones in Newport and Covington where the festival will come to life.
Nine majestic steamboats from all over the US will appear. Nationally recognized emerging and local artists will occupy eight stages on both sides of the Ohio River. Nationally recognized, emerging and local artists play many genres on 8 stages throughout the Ohio and Kentucky Riverfronts. Chef presentations, food trucks, restaurant row and bourbon and brewmaster tastings and themed riverboat cruises will be on display. Joining Julie on the panel will be American River Roots Executive Committee Member & Ambassador, Kyla S. Woods, OneNKY Alliance President and CEO Karen Finan and Co-Founder & Executive Committee Member Tim Fogarty.
