The Covington Business Council (CBC), in partnership with The Center for Great Neighborhoods of Covington and the Covington Neighborhood Collaborative, will host a Covington City Council Candidate Forum on Monday, September 28, from 6–8 p.m. at the Latonia American Legion Building, 3801 Winston Ave. This partnership has often hosted public candidate forums, but this year marks the first time Covington candidates for office will participate as Council candidates and not Commission candidates, following the City’s transition from its long-standing City Manager form of government to a Mayor-Council system. The event is free and open to the public and will provide Covington residents with an opportunity to learn more about the candidates, hear their perspectives on important issues facing the community, and better understand their priorities for the City’s future. Kenton County Reporter for LinkNKY, Nathan Granger, will moderate the panel discussion. The forum will be recorded and later aired by the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky (TBNK). The evening will begin with the 90-minute moderated forum followed by a 30-minute social time, giving members of the public an opportunity to meet and mingle with the candidates.
