The featured speaker for December’s Covington Business Council luncheon is Larry Krauter, CEO of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). Larry will provide an update on CVG’s continued growth and its role as a regional economic asset, highlighting key areas including air service, cargo and logistics, infrastructure, business development and workforce opportunities. He will also discuss how CVG’s growth creates opportunities for Covington and the River Cities, including supporting local businesses, attracting investment and visitors, and strengthening the connectivity that drives economic growth throughout Northern Kentucky.
Larry Krauter, CEO of Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
Lawrence J. Krauter was named CEO of the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) effective March 2025 after serving as chief executive officer of Spokane (Washington) Airports for 14 years. A 36-year veteran of the aviation industry, he was previously interim executive director, deputy executive director, and director of planning and engineering at the Lehigh Northampton Airport Authority in Pennsylvania. Prior to that, Larry was an airport planner with the Division of Airports in the City of Columbus, Ohio. Larry began his career as an engineer assistant with the Ohio Department of Transportation, working on bridge and highway projects in northeast Ohio.
As CEO of CVG, Larry leads a team of 450+ staff and oversees an annual operating budget that exceeds $160 million, which collectively support the airport’s $12.2 billion annual economic impact to the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky region.
