Join the airport’s Vice President of Public Affairs, Seth Cutter, and Director of Business Administration, Larisa Sims, to hear how new airlines, such as British Airways, performed in 2023; how air cargo impacts our regional economy; and how the airport is focused on bringing in more local businesses and flavor to its concessions and capital programs. Speaker Bios
Larisa Sims - Director of Business Development - CVG Airport
Mrs. Larisa Sims is the Director of Business Administration at the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), where she serves as the organization’s Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Liaison Officer, economic development and grant funding strategist, and program director for the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Foreign Trade Zone Board. Previously she spent five years as the Assistant City Manager in Newport, Kentucky, and eight years as the Assistant City Manager for Development in the City of Covington, where she led economic and community development activities. She also served as Regional Planning Manager for the Ohio – Kentucky- Indiana Regional Council of Governments. Mrs. Sims has 25 years of planning, development, and administration experience at the local and regional level.
Mrs. Sims received a post graduate degree from the Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, a Master’s Degree in Community Planning at the University of Cincinnati, and a Bachelor’s at Western Kentucky University. Certifications include Economic Development Finance Professional and the American Institute of Certified Planners.
Over the years, Mrs. Sims has been active in several professional organizations and boards including the Northern Kentucky Port Authority, Covington Economic Development Authority, the Northern Kentucky City and County Management Association, the Kentucky League of Cities, the Kentucky Chapter of the American Planning Association, and the American Institute of Certified Planner’s National Planning Accreditation Board.
Seth Cutter - Director of Business Development - CVG Airport
Seth Cutter is vice president of public affairs for the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG), the 12th largest cargo airport in the world and the 2022 Best Airport in North America for Staff Service, according to London-based Skytrax.
In this role, Seth develops and executes CVG’s local, state, and federal policy priorities. He and airport leadership remain focused on advocacy related to transportation and infrastructure funding that will grow the airport’s $6.8 billion annual economic impact to the community. He also coordinates the activities of the Kentucky SAF Coalition, which is an industry partnership focused on developing a sustainable aviation fuels, or SAF, ecosystem in the mid-South and Midwest. Seth represents CVG to local stakeholders and leads the team responsible for airport public relations, communications, marketing, and community affairs.
Seth joined CVG in 2017, having previously worked in the Campbell County, Kentucky, Judge/Executive’s office. He remains active in the community, serving on a variety of committees and working groups for the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, Cincinnati USA Chamber, BE NKY Growth Partnership, Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, and the Ohio Aviation Association.
He is a member of the 2021 Cincinnati “40 Under 40” Class and is on the board of KBT, Kentuckians for Better Transportation. Seth completed undergraduate studies at American University in Washington, DC, and earned an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
