 Zhen, Xian Bao is an ancient Chinese paper folding art described as a paper book with many secret boxes. As with most ancient arts, the art form came out of a need for the item. In those ancient days Chinese women use these thread books made of natural papers to store their precious threads, fibers or sewing needles, this art form has been traced back to the only three Chinese  provinces   When I took a class and learned how to construct a Zhen Xian Bao, I fell in love with the art for the history and the tradition. I use only handmade papers for the Xian Zhen Bao, and almost exclusively the laptop papers.
