The Executive Director Roundtable - Home
A Peer-to-Peer Session for Nonprofit Leaders What happens in 75 minutes When you arrive, you'll be placed into a breakout room of four nonprofit leaders. Inside that room, every person gets ten dedicated minutes. You take one minute to put the biggest problem your organization is facing on the table, and the other three leaders take the remaining nine minutes to ask questions and share advice. After every person in your room has had their turn, the full group comes back together, each room shares the patterns and the best advice that surfaced, and we close with a takeaways document delivered to every attendee within 48 hours.
Why this exists The Executive Director seat is the loneliest seat in the organization. Your staff cannot help you carry the problems you're carrying, and your board, by design, sees the organization from a different altitude. The result is that most ED-level problems get worked out in your own head, when what they actually need is a small room of peers who run organizations of similar shape. This event exists to be that room.
Who's in the room Leaders of regional nonprofits. Executive Directors, Presidents, CEOs, and Founders. Rooms are sized at four people, randomly assigned, with one note-taker per room designated when the room opens.
There is no attendee cap. If 60 leaders register, there will be 15 rooms.
